Fresh Talks: Facing Suffering with Gordon Greene Roshi

Let’s talk together about what our Zen training has taught us when faced with the suffering of others

Facing Suffering tells the story of Greene Roshi’s training as a hospital chaplain, illustrating how his Zen training influenced his chaplain work. But the bigger purpose is showing how our particular lineage of Zen engages with suffering, that deeply human dilemma that lies at the heart of Buddhism. Gordon Greene is the Head Priest at the Spring Green Zen Dojo in SouthWestern Wisconsin.

Reading the book is not required, but is offered in the bookstore: https://www.choseizen.org/store/p/facing-suffering
