If you're curious about the path to becoming a Jikijitsu (jiki) or joining next year's Chosei Zen Priest training program, this is the opportunity to learn more.
This session will include an overview of:
The Jikijitsu training, happening this fall over two sessions, will enable you to play a more active role within the Chosei Zen community by leading Zazen in any of our dojo or starting your own sitting group. It will cover the Level 1 Zen Instructor manual, associated exercises, and the crucial role of the jiki.
The Priest training curriculum which aims to create a force in the world to be reckoned with: a Chosei Zen priest. It seeks to integrate Zen training and service so that people come out of this 3-year program feeling ready to serve in a way that is true to themselves and can operate even under extreme conditions. Candidates must meet certain training requirements to enter the program and it requires a substantial commitment including online, offline and in-person training.
In this session, Andy Seizan Robins Roshi will explain the two programs and the necessary steps to attend the jiki training this fall or apply for priest training next year.
